“Double Trouble” presents a group of drawings, collages and photographs that were accomplished in the last few years, printed on flag screens, with a speech that is visually close to the brochure, the poster and the billboard. Some of them are derivative from other projects and some others were specifically created for this exhibition. If this type of work is frequent in their studio practice, we have never experienced as in this exhibition, this flux of ideas, concepts and details that lay in the background of other projects, and are only now showed independently. Through a narrative that intends to be fractal, disruptive and non-linear, it is showed and eluded a thought that imprints a continuous presence in the work of this duo of artists. “Double Trouble” is defined as a narrative illusion, last stronghold of subjectivity, where themes such as the relationships and negociations between centre and margin, scholarly and popular, the identity, the assimilation, the gentrification and visibility, serve as a motto to question the way how we look at world in its differences and stigmas.
