Born in Torre Vedras in 1976, Susana Anagua lives and works in Lisbon. She was awarded a PhD Art and creative act, at UERJ- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2014-2018), she undertook a Master’s Degree in Digital Arts at the Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts of London (2008) and a Degree in Fine art at the Escola Superior Tecnológica, Gestão, Arte e Design (ESTGAD), Caldas da Rainha (2000). She attended the Audiovisual Documentary Workshop at Vasco Albergaria and Nuno Lisbon, ESAD, Caldas da Rainha (2004) and an Advanced Course at the Art and Visual Communication Center - Ar.Co, Lisbon (2000).
Among his last important solo exhibitions we can highlight the solo show “Desterro”, MNAC- Nacional Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art, Lisbon (2017), “Northless”, CAM - Centro de Arte Moderna , Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (2008) and “Sete Artistas ao Décimo mês (7/10), Piso 01”, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon (2005).
Susana Anagua’s work is represented in public and private collections, such as Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, PLMJ – Privet Loyers Collection, Santander-Totta collection, MACE- Elvas Museum for Contemporary Arts.
