MARISA FERREIRA
Marisa Ferreira (Guimarães, 1983), lives and works in Oslo (Norway) since 2008. She has a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the Universidade of Évora and in 2008 she completed a postgraduate degree in Art and Design for the Public Space, at Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade of Porto.
She has been participating in group exhibitions since 2003 and she has had several solo exhibitions, such as "Transparency, Reflection and Colour" at the Centro para os Assuntos da Arte e da Arquitectura in Guimarães (2016) and "Space, Rythim and Movement", at Messmer Kunsthalle (Germany, 2015).
Since 2011, she has also been developing several public art projects in Norway and abroad, amongst which we may highlight: “Rear Window” at Oslo Central Station (2015), “Voyage dans le’ rhytme” at the New Royal Liverpool Hospital (2015-18), “Chromatic Rhythms” at the St. Raphael College (Ireland, 2016) and “Shall we dance?” commissioned by the Oslo City Hall for the city's historical centre (2017).
She is currently a fellow of the Bildende Kunstneres Vederlagsfond and received scholarships to support her artistic activity by the Norwegian government in 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2017.
Her work is represented in several private and public collections in Norway, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, England and Portugal, notably the Stavanger Kunstmuseum, Wintershall Art Collection and Messmer Foundation.
